It has never been a secret that Kráka frá Hólum is the favorite broodmare in Holtsmúli. It was, therefore, a happy moment when she gave birth to a beautiful daughter out of the the world record holder Konsert frá Hofi.

Kveikja is big and handsome, with long legs and a very long, arched neck.  She moves with big strides and a lot of action, mostly choosing trot but showing tolt and a little pace.  She seems to want to be in the lead, and is quite brave yet easy to handle.  We look forward to start to train this promising young mare.  Kveikja had a foal in 2019, a beautiful stallion out of Þráinn frá Flagbjarnarholti, and will foal in 2020 with Álfaklettur frá Syðri-Gegnishólum.   But after we wean that foal we will start her training.
