Stallions at stud at Úrvalshestar this summer

During this breeding season, Úrvalshestar is extremely proud to offer the world's most highly rated stallion for breeding.  We are of course talking about Þráinn frá Flagbjarnarholti, which is out of Þyrla frá Ragnheiðarstöðum (8,24) and the acclaimed Álfur frá Selfossi (8,46). Þráinn has received 8,95 for comformation and 9,11 for riding abilities, giving a record breaking average score of 8,95.

Furthermore we can offer our own pride and joy, Þeyr frá Holtsmúla I, a silver dapple stallion that received an average of 8,39 as a six year old, and has a great track record in competition.  He has proven himself in both F1, PP2 and A-class in gæðingakeppni.

By clicking on the appropriate links below you can find all the information pertinent to each horse such as prices, breeding judgements, and descriptions of the horses.

We pride ourselves in excellent care of mares and foals, and practice careful surveillance.  All horses, both mares and their foals,  that come to Holtsmúli need to be microchipped.  If they are not we can do that for you.
