We wish all of our friends all over the world a merry Christmas and a happy new year.  The year 2017 has been wonderful with many memorable experiences.   We did get 15 healthy foals all out of top class stallions and excellent mares.  The sires of our foals are Apollo frá Haukholtum, Bragur frá Ytra-Hóli, Þeyr frá Holtsmúla 1, Spuni frá Vesturkoti, Stáli frá Kjarri, Skýr frá Skálakoti, Konsert frá Korpu, Draupnir frá Stuðlum, Stormur frá Herríðarhóli and Konsert frá Hofi.  Next year we are expecting 12 foals if everything goes well, and many of the sires are the same.

Riding and competition also was eventful in 2017.   Svanhildur and  Þeyr had a successful year in five gaited competition, and Mr. Peter DeCosemo, a brilliant riding instructor from England came on a regular basis and taught us, inspired us, and motivated us to keep on learning more and more about the horse and the art of riding and training.

Last not least, our daughters started riding more with us.  Those are probably the most precious moments from the horsemanship of last year, with the exception of the time when Berglind broke her upper arm.   She recovered well though and is back in the saddle.   We decided that she would get her picture here with those few words that close up the great year of 2017.  We look forward to many precious moments in 2018.
