We are proud to present the new world champion of all Icelandic breeding horses, Þráinn frá Flagbjarnarholti.   He will be serving mares here in Holtsmúli from July 9th through the end of the summer.  Þráinn just scored the highest breeding evaluation any Icelandic horse has ever done, a total of 8,95.   He did receive 8,70 for conformation and a breathtaking 9,11 for riding abilities with only one number under 9,0 which was slow canter at 8,5.

Þráinn got 9,5 for proportions, willingness and temperament, and walk, and 9´s for neck, back and croup, tolt, trot, pace, gallop, form under rider and slow tolt.

Þráinn is already fully booked immediately after Landsmót (July 9th), but we will exchange new mares into the pasture for confirmed pregnant ones around mid August.  There are still a very few available spots then.

His price is 150.000 Icelandic kronur all inclusive assuming the mare only needs one ultrasound.  Additional ultrasound is 5.000 ice kronur each.
